Ngā Raukura o Tāne Whakapiripiri (NRTW)

PHYSIOTHERAPY

Ngā Raukura is the Maori Physiotherapy students association at the University of Otago. They support and foster students completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy by providing connections to other Māori students in the same field of study as well as encouraging connections to the wider community.

Executive Positions


Tumuaki


Details: The Tumuaki also known as the President is the person who acts as a māngai or representative for Physiotherapy students across various sectors such as the University and community. They also manage the NRTW executive and provide support to all positions as well as maintain communication and relationships with Te Rōpū Māori.


Kaituhi


Details: The Kaituhi also known as the Secretary is the person who manages any admin aspects for the NRTW executive and oversee the general running of NRTW. Kaituhi also takes minutes for all NRTW executive, AGM and SGM hui. 


Āpiha Tau Tuarua


Details: The Āpiha Tau Tuarua is the representative for all second year Māori students studying in Physiotherapy. They provide support and services to the second year Māori Physiotherapy students as well as the whole NRTW executive team.


Tumuaki Tuarua


Details: The Tumuaki Tuarua act as a supporting role to all positions on the NRTW executive. When necessary and in the absence of the Tumuaki they becoming acting Tumuaki.


Kaitiaki Pūtea


Details: The Kaitiaki Pūtea also known as the Treasurer is responsible for handling any financial aspects for NRTW and are required to produce a financial report at every NRTW executive hui.
