Executive Positions
Tumuaki
Details:
The Tumuaki also known as the President is the person who acts as a māngai or representative for Humanities students across various sectors such as the University and community. They also manage the NTKA executive and provide support to all positions as well as maintain communication and relationships with Te Rōpū Māori and the Division of Humanities.
Kaitiaki Pūtea
Details:
The Kaitiaki Pūtea also known as the Treasurer is responsible for handling any financial aspects for NTKA and are required to produce a financial report at every NTKA executive hui. They also act as Tumuaki alongside the Kaituhi in the absence of the Tumuaki.
Social and Recreational Officer
Details:
The Social and Recreation Officer is responsible for organising social and recreational events for Humanities students as well as arranging NTKA sport teams. They are also expected to liaise with Te Rito regarding events and service.
Postgraduate Representative
Details:
The Postgraduate Representative is the voice for all postgraduate Māori Humanities students. They are responsible for any postgraduate related events and services, and are required to liaise with Te Rito in regard to such aspects. They are also required to notify postgraduate students of funding, services and opportunities that may be beneficial for them.

Kaituhi
Details:
The Kaituhi also known as the Secretary is the person who manages any admin aspects for the NTKA executive and oversee the general running of NTKA. Kaituhi also takes minutes for all NTKA executive, AGM and SGM hui. They also act as Tumuaki alongside the Kaitiaki Pūtea in the absence of the Tumuaki.
Cultural and Education Officer
Details:
The Cultural and Education Officer is responsible for organising cultural and academic events while also providing cultural and academic support to Humanities students. They are also expected to liaise with Te Rito regarding events and services.
First Year Representative
Details: The First Year Representative is the voice for all first year Māori Humanities students. They are responsible for any first year related events and services, and are required to liaise with Te Rito in regard to such aspects.
