GOALS:
- To encourage a safe space for tauira to be loud and proud of their Māoritanga!
- To fulfil my duties as Āpiha Mātauranga Māori to my greatest ability.
- To increase eco friendly habits within TRM
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Facilitate the running and organisations of events during Te Wiki o te Reo;
- Facilitate the running and organisation of events during Matariki;
- Sit on the OUSA Education Committee;
- Administer the Kura Reo grant process;
- Liaise with Te Rito members with regard to events and services provided by Te Rito/Te Roopū Māori;
- Organise events and initiatives to support the academic achievement of Māori students on campus;
- Organise atleast one study retreat each semester, with support from the Tuarua and Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa.
- Organise Te Reo Māori classes with atleast 7 weeks of classes per semester;
- Support the Tumuaki Tuarua with Te Haerenga organisation and Komiti formation;
- Liase and establish a transparent relationship with the kapa haka tutor/s and signatories;
- Where practical will work no less than 10 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 hours designated to ‘Office Hours’;
- Attendance at Te Huinga Tauira is compulsory unless there are extenuating circumstances that are approved through a vote in a Te Rito Hui.
