Physical Education Māori Association (PEMA)

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

PEMA are the Physical Education Māori Association of the School of Physical Education at the University of Otago. PEMA are a student group run by Māori students, for Māori students who are undertaking a Bachelor of Physical Education at the University of Otago.

Executive Positions


Tumuaki


Details: The Tumuaki also known as the President is the person who acts as a representative for Physical Education students across various sectors such as the University and community. They also manage the PEMA executive and provide support to all positions as well as maintain communication and relationships with Te Rōpū Māori.


Kaiwhakahaere


Details: There are multiple Kaiwhakahaere within the PEMA executive that covers various aspects and roles to complete a full executive team. The Kaiwhakahaere roles are supporting positions to the Tumuaki and Kaituhi of the PEMA executive.


Kaituhi


Details: The Kaituhi also known as the Secretary is the person who manages any admin aspects for the PEMA executive and oversee the general running of PEMA. Kaituhi also takes minutes for all PEMA executive, AGM and SGM hui.
