Te Puna Kaitaka (TPK)

PHARMACY

Te Puna Kaitaka is the Māori Students’ Pharmacy Association Otago. Whakawhanaungatanga is a real focus for Te Puna Kaitaka, so as to facilitate good working relationships in the future. Te Puna Kaitaka provide academic and social support, and are inclusive of all Māori Pharmacy students irrespective of their whakapapa journey. Commitment to Māori health and dedication to the pharmacy profession is a core value of this rōpū.

Executive Positions


Tumuaki


Details: The Tumuaki also known as the President is the person who acts as a representative for Pharmacy students across various sectors such as the University and community. They also manage the TPK executive and provide support to all positions as well as maintain communication and relationships with Te Rōpū Māori.


Kaituhi


Details: The Kaituhi also known as the Secretary is the person who manages any admin aspects for the TPK executive and oversee the general running of TPK. Kaituhi also takes minutes for all TPK executive, AGM and SGM hui.  


Tumuaki Tuarua


Details: The Tumuaki Tuarua act as a supporting role to all positions on the TPK executive. When necessary and in the absence of the Tumuaki they becoming acting Tumuaki.


Kaitiaki Pūtea


Details: The Kaitiaki Pūtea also known as the Treasurer is responsible for handling any financial aspects for TPK and are required to produce a financial report at every TPK executive hui.
