Field of study: Bachelor or Arts and Science doubling majoring Indigenous Development and Genetics.
GOALS:
- To create an array of different kaupapa throughout the year that includes more tauira Māori.
- To increase more of our first year tauira Māori into our events and be their support system when needed.
- To fulfil my role to a high standard to ensure that 2022 will run smoothly.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Be responsible in planning and executing Te Hokai
- Be responsible in planning a minimum of three events in Orientation week and at least one event in Re-Orientation week alongside the Tumuaki Tuarua
- Plan two social events throughout the year using the social line
- Organise any required fundraising throughout the year (to be stipulated by the Tumuaki and Te Rito)
- Liaise with Kaitiaki Putea with regards to events and budgeting. Notify Te Rito regarding upcoming events
- Organise the annual Te Rōpū Māori Awards Night
- Support the Apiha Hauora with organising a charity event
- Support the Apiha Matauranga Māori with organising one study retreat per semester
- Where practical, will work no less than 10 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 hours designated to ‘Office Hours’
- Attendance at Te Huinga Tauira is compulsory unless there are extenuating circumstances that are approved through a vote in a Te Rito Hui.
