Field of study: Bachelor of Arts (Māori and Pacific Island studies)
GOALS:
- To encourage all Māori tauira to be apart of all Te Rōpū Māori kaupapa
- To update all tauira Māori on all the latest events
- To ensure that all tauira Māori are achieving their academic goals.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Liaise with Te Rito members regarding events and services provided by Te Rito/Te Rōpū;
- Facilitate the advertising and marketing (and promotion) of services and events provided by Te Rito/Te Rōpū;
- Write up ‘Te Whakataki’ the monthly magazine to send out to all Te Rōpū Māori students;
- Sit on any University committees as appointed by the Tumuaki;
- Where practical, will work no less than 10 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 hours designated to ‘Office Hours’;
- Attendance at Te Huinga Tauira is compulsory unless there are extenuating circumstances that are approved through a vote in a Te Rito Hui.
