Field of study: Bachelor of Arts (Māori and Pacific Island studies)

GOALS:

  1. To encourage all Māori tauira to be apart of all Te Rōpū Māori kaupapa
  2. To update all tauira Māori on all the latest events
  3. To ensure that all tauira Māori are achieving their academic goals.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  1. Liaise with Te Rito members regarding events and services provided by Te Rito/Te Rōpū;
  2. Facilitate the advertising and marketing (and promotion) of services and events provided by Te Rito/Te Rōpū;
  3. Write up ‘Te Whakataki’ the monthly magazine to send out to all Te Rōpū Māori students;
  4. Sit on any University committees as appointed by the Tumuaki;
  5. Where practical, will work no less than 10 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 hours designated to ‘Office Hours’;
  6. Attendance at Te Huinga Tauira is compulsory unless there are extenuating circumstances that are approved through a vote in a Te Rito Hui.
