GOALS:
- To create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment that allows tauira Māori to reach their own potential.
- To promote and spread awareness on mental health for tauira Māori.
- To do my job to the best of my abilities.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Co-ordinate Te Rōpū Māori social sports teams and engage with students regarding schedules for these sports on a weekly basis (or when necessary);
- Organise and/or facilitate an inter divisional rōpū sports event each semester;
- Organise and facilitate Relay for Life;
- Organise events and initiatives to support the welfare of Māori students on campus;
- Organise a charity event with support from the Kaiwhakahaere Kaupapa and the Tuarua;
- Sit on the OUSA Welfare Committee;
- Where practical, will work no less than 10 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 hours designated to ‘Office Hours’;
- Liaise with Te Rito members regarding events and services provided by Te Rito/Te Rōpū;
- Attendance at Te Huinga Tauira is compulsory unless there are extenuating circumstances that are approved through a vote in a Te Rito Hui.
